The media can make people aware of school shootings
The media has showed the danger of guns and school shootings.
One Tree Hill is an American Television Drama series, which aired from 2003-2012 on the CW. OTH is follows half brothers Nathan and Lucas Scott, on their lives through high school, college, and beyond. In season 3 episode 16 of OTH a shooting took place. Jimmy Edwards, a high school student shot a gun multiple times at his school. Then Jimmy shot himself with the gun in front of Keith Scott. Then, Dan Scott, brother of Keith took that same gun and shot his brother. This is an example of the harm the guns can do if someone gets their hand on guns. People who have hate in their heart with harm others if they have their chance with a dangerous weapon. This episode of OTH showed how dangerous guns are and can be.
Glee is an American musical comedy-drama television series that aired from 2009-2015 on FOX. Glee is about a group of ambitious misfits who join a glee club where they excel. In season 4, episode 18 a gunshot is heard in William McKinley High School. The students and teacher go into usual lock down procedure immediately after the two shots are heard. There are a couple of students who were left in the bathroom during the lock down procedure, the scene follows the students in the classroom and in the bathrooms, and what it is like. Everyone experiences this scary time as each person is worried abut each other. This is an example of what it is like for a school to go into a lock down procedure when gun shots are heard, even though no one was shot or injured. This shows again what people can do when they get a hold of a deadly weapon and what have happened if the gunman were to shoot people.
